PLACEMENT CELL AND CAREER GUIDANCE CELL

As there were indications of measure reforms in education & industries in the age of globalization to decide the strategy regarding this change on 27th Jan 2006 important meeting was called in the institution.

As hundreds of students were completing graduate & post graduate courses successfully but having no job this was the matter of concern in the meeting. Even our S. B. Education Society bears moral and high social value, it was decided in this meeting to start the efforts for recruitments of the students and also the issue was about their personality development to face interview, communication skill & to improve their presentations skills. Thus placement cell & career guidance cell were established for undergraduate & post graduate level students of Science College.

Recruitment platform was available in engineering & management colleges but it was not found in science colleges for undergraduate level & post graduate level S.B.E.S. college of science is the first college to start with this innovative idea of placement cell in Marathwada region.

Committee members interacted with number of National & Multinational companies in MIDC Waluj, Chikalthana, Shendra area around Aurangabad city which included Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Cosmetics, Automobiles, Electronics, IT & BPO Sectors. And According to view of late Padmavibhushan Govind Bhai Shroff who is one of architect of S. B. Education society, he usually defines the education as not only to provide good education to students but also providing job after completing education thus this objective is being tried to fulfill by placement cell & career guidance cell.

A very good response was there from these industries. By arranging the campus drives in industries large numbers of students were recruited in the companies. And according to vision & mission of S. B. Education Society the Management advised to keep these events as open campus recruitments to be benefited to gross root levels that is from villages, talukas & districts level. This change gave job opportunity to very needy intelligent students in Marathwada Region & adjoin districts.
