DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH
English is language of global communication. English has occupied an important place in our educational system and life of our country. It has four components - Sound, Structure, Vocabulary, Grammar. English is being perceived as a "must –known" language. English has ladder for upper social mobility and a window to the world. To make aware with Listening, Writing, Speaking and Reading the English language. Helps you to communicate with the world. To make known to literary genres. To improve vocabulary and help to use correct structure of the sentence. It gives to access to more of the internet.
About Department
- Department of English came in existence with the establishment of the college in the year 1963.
- Designed for B.SC I year and B.sc II year with two papers - 1)Compulsory English 2)Additional English.
- The purpose of English language under the semester system is to provide a through grounding in literature written in English language from the earliest period to the presentday.
- One important feature of the department is its cross disciplinary character.
- Students will be exposed to the interface of literature with other kinds of textuality in contemporary culture and society and to various possible applications of disciplinary skills.
- The department strives to achieve a balance between compulsory and additional English areas.
