To provide a gateway for emerging technologies in the field of Computer Science, SBES College of Science has established Department of Computer Science & IT in 1995. The vision of our department is to provide high quality education in the field of Information Technology to the students from Marathwada Region and creating job opportunities for them. Department started undergraduate course on B.Sc. from 1995.

Shri Saraswati Bhuvan Education Society, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was established in the year 1915 and recently celebrated 110 years. The institute is committed to social and educational reforms. This Institution is group of dedicated and zeal-am peoples some of the names like - the visionary freedom fighter and founder Padmvibhushan Late. Govindbhai Shroff, Great Veteran Parliamentarian Late Dr. Bapusaheb Kaldate and Educationist Late. Prof. Dinkar Borikar, the society is progressing towards providing holistic education in Arts, Science and Commerce fields.

Today, the S. B. Education Society is known for a knowledge hub and one of the oldest and the most reputed Educational Institute in Maharashtra. Considering the high profile of the institution in academics, its valuable contribution in educational and social fields, the Govt. of Maharashtra, of its own conferred the award as 'the best institution in the state' in the very first year of its inception of 5th September 2000.
